Description Heritage Series knives are equally at home in the modern or traditional kitchen. The full tang blades, made from a single piece of high carbon stainless steel, are precision ground to provide excellent strength, flexibility and lasting sharpness. The handles are shaped to fit perfectly in the hand, the endstop preventing the knife from accidentally slipping. Each is secured with three solid brass rivets and hand finished in the same tradition as they have been for generations. Put simply, a sharpening rod is a bar of material that is considerably harder than the blade it is designed to sharpen. A good quality sharpening rod acts to realign microscopic kinks, curls and folds that appear on a blade edge during normal use. They aren’t designed to remove material from the blade, but act to restructure the grind profile for better cutting performance and longer lasting sharpness. Length: 25cm Dishwasher safe
